1.   General PT**0S*1U PCM Multiplexeris a 1U high *9" standard rack mountable multiplexer, it supports multiple analog/data interfaces, the uplink interface can be 4E1 electrical interface or fiber interface. The optical card can access 8 E1 interface and 4 Ethernet interfaces. The net speed of 4 Ethernet interfaces is **0M/s, and it has the VLAN function; the maximum E1 interface capacity is *6 E1 interfaces, the maximum *4kbps capacity is *2 channels. Each access card has 4 channels, all PT**0S access cards can be inserted into any access slots.
PT**0S*1U PCM Multiplexeris multi-functional PCM equipment that can connect with other communication equipment through optical transmission module or standard E1 interface; it can realize point to point communication by E1 or optical interface; and it can realize DI (drop/insert) function through its own *4kbps cross connection matrix; it also has the PABX function with its relay card; and it also can realize the functions of remote channel test and 2wire subscriber exterior line test with its testing module.
PT**0S*1U PCM Multiplexerhas a powerful network management system, by which the operating status of the network can be monitored in real time and the functions of fault locating, re-assignment of time slots and online testing can be performed easily. The NMS platform can be connected with the PT serial equipment directly via RS**2 port. The PT serial equipment that is in the same room can be cascaded by RS**2 interface, for the PT devices that are located in different rooms, they can be connected by TS0 of E1 interface or special NMS channel. PT**0S*1U PCM Multiplexer supports diagram network management, command line and SNMP network management. 2. Main features 2.1.       High density The E1 access capacity is *6 E1s, the *4kbps access capacity is *2 channels. The PT**0S*1U PCM Multiplexer can access one optical interface card; the optical interface card can access 8 E1s (4E1s access into cross connection matrix of PT**0S*1U PCM multiplexer, and the other 4E1s will directly connect with other access equipment), and 4 **0M Ethernet interface (share total **0M/s speed). 2.2.       Multiple Access Interfaces PT**0S*1U PCM Multiplexersupports different types of user services: *4Kbps co-directional and N×*4Kbps synchronous data interface, and *0/**0M Ethernet interface, RS**2 and RS**5 asynchronous data interface, FXO, FXS, Hotline, Magneto, Carrier wave magneto phone and 2/*-wire E&M interface, etc. 2.3.        Powerful Net Management System It is very convenient to set cross connection, set analog subscriber level, and read equipment configuration by NMS.
Automatic remote online test function can realize level test and signaling test for analog interface, functional test for data interface, functional tests of A/B ground, short circuit, online test for external lines, it is very convenient to locate fault quickly and correctly with the help of the NMS. 2.4.        D/I(drop/insert) function PT**0S*1U PCM Multiplexer can be configured as D/I equipment, which make it very flexible to drop/insert channels. 2.5.        PABX function With relay interface card,PT**0S*1U PCM Multiplexer can realize PABX function. The relay interface will support China No.1 signaling, SS7, PRI and V5 signaling. 2.6.       Optional OPT optical card The OPT optical card can be selected by the user to reduce the cost of the transmitting system. The E1 interface and Ethernet of PT**0S*1U PCM Multiplexer can be transferred through the OPT optical card.
