RheoGel **5A are made from specially processed attapulgite. In water-based coatings, RheoGel **5A  products are usually added at the end of the pigment-grind step。In solvent-based systems, the RheoGel **5A  should be added early to ensure capture of the surfactant.
High-speed mixing creates rapid thickening. Intensive, slow-speed mixing, such as with a double planetary-type mixer, may take longer to develop near maximum viscosity and may require higher solids to generate adequate shear.
 
B.Product Applications
RehoGel **5A is designed for use as filter in the joint compound formulations.binding agnet in molecular sieve applications and also in paints and coatings.
