The description of the SMC sheet:

Sheet molding compound (SMC) is fiberglass reinforced composite material, produced in a “sheet” format. SMC is made of 3 basic components: the base resign system (polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy, phenolic or polyimide), the reinforcements (fiberglass), and additives which include inert fillers, pigments, UV stabilizers, catalysts, inhibitors, and thickeners.

2.1.2 Character of the SMC sheet:

Lots of production can made by SMC sheet and automatic machine can be used in the whole

process flows. And the machine is easy to operate.

Formula of the SMC sheet can be changed to satisfy different client who have to different

demands such as corrosion resisting, wear resisting, high strength and withstand high

temperature.

The SMC sheet is with good flowing property and good mold ability, so it can be used to

produce the complex things with pattern, holes and so on.
