Using phase change material technology, the Cool Packs literally pull heat from the body, while maintaining a comfortable temperature of *5ºF. The packs expand to resist bursting, absorb shock, and maintain mobility. The cooling vests are designed to hold the Cool Packs securely in place, while absorbing moisture away from the wearer. This allows maximum heat transfer between the phase change cooling packs and the body. The semisolid thermal energy storage material (phase change material) in the high-quality, leak-proof Cool Packs are designed to chill to *5º F. Once the material phases solid, it can be placed directly against your skin and used to cool the body. The material actually absorbs heat generated by the body. As the phase change cooling pack absorbs heat, it will begin to phase change from a solid to a liquid.
