The application of flotator

Flotator is used to separate colored black metal and non-metal such as coal fluorite, talc and so on. Motor triangular belt drives impellers rotate, and then flotator works, which produces centrifugal function forming negative pressure. On one hand there is mixture of enough air and mineral pulp; on the other hand there is another mixture of stirring mineral pulp. At the same time, refine foam and make mines stick with foam, floating the surface of mineral pulp to form mineralized foam. Adjusting flashboard’s height and controlling liquid level is to make useful foam scraped by scraper blade.

The operating principle of flotator

The flotator is mainly applied into separating copper, zinc, nickel, gold and other useful metal, it also can be used in coarse separation and fined separation of black metal and non-metal.

The coal pulp and drug mix fully and then enter into tank bottom of the first room inside flotator. After the expellers rotate, the negative pressure is formed to make the mineral pulp in the slot flow into mixing zone from upper suction port and lower suction port. At the same time, the air enters into the mixed zone along airway sleeve. Mineral pulp, air and drug are mixed here.

In the function of impeller’s centrifugal force, mixed mineral pulp enters into mineralized zone, and air forms air bubble and crushes. So the coal particle can be fully contact and forms mineralized bladder. In the function of stator and turbulent flow board, the bladder is evenly distributed on the section of cell body and moves upward to separating zone, forming rich foam layer.

The maintenance of flotator

1.      The working capacity and working deadline of flotator, just as other machineries, depend on maintenance and keep the main parts work normally. All the parts need a careful check every three or four months. Moreover, the new flotator need check frequently in the before several months.

2.      Only qualified personnel can check.

3.      In order to change damageable parts timely and shorten downtimes, we should prepare full set damageable parts in the storage. The damageable parts should be set use date and storage.

4.      The operators have to be guaranteed to be given technical guide and training to make them have a full knowledge of machineries.

}5.      In order to avoid pollution and useless things entering into the oil, filter is necessary in the fuel injection. When the flotator works, the oiling cap should be sealed.

6.      An necessary check is needed before flotator works.

7.      Working sequence: press switch firstly, and then press start.

8.      When the flotator works, hands are forbidden to touch rotary part.
