Equipment overview.
Softeners, i.e. sodium ion exchangers, consist of ion exchange pressure vessels (or ion exchange columns), sodium-type cation resins, multi-way valves and salt tank regeneration systems.
The ion exchange column (vessel) shell is generally made of hard polyvinyl chloride (PVC), hard polyvinyl chloride composite glass (PVC-FRP), organic glass (PMMA), organic glass composite transparent glass steel (PMMA-FRP), steel lined with rubber (JR), stainless steel lined with rubber, etc.
Working principle.
Mainly using the resin to release sodium ions, exchange the calcium and magnesium ions in the water, thus reducing the hardness of the water, after the resin saturation failure, using NaCl to regenerate the failed resin for recovery.

2Na-R (resin) + Mg2+ = MgR*2Na+
The softening system operates as follows: operation → regeneration (backwashing, salt absorption, replacement, positive washing) → operation.
