Description: 
zirconium Carbide is insoluble in HCL but soluble in H2SO4. It becomes readily oxidized in air when exposed to elevated temperature. It shows high amount of corrosion resistance property and contains carbon vacancies. It reacts with water as well as acids. It is hard in texture and it belongs to refractory ceramic material that is applied for many commercial applications like manufacturing of tool bits, machining tools used for cutting metal components, etc.
