Type 5A will adsorb molecules with critical diameters up to 5A. All molecules which can be adsorbed on Molecular Sieve types 3A and 4A can be adsorbed on Type 5A. Applications: Multi-purpose. Used for the dehydration and purification of various hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon gas and liquid streams. It is used for the separation of straight and branched chain hydrocarbons, sweetening and drying of natural gases and the production of high purity hydrogen.
