aza**-formamide) has pharmacological effects primarily
through its metabolite, monohydroxyl derivative
(MHD).The mechanism of action of
oxcarbazepine and MHD is believed to be mainly that Chemicalbook
inhibits the repetitive firing of neurons and reduces the
transmission of synaptic impulses by blocking voltage-sensitive
sodium channels, thereby stabilizing the cell membrane
of overexcited neurons.In addition,
activation of calcium channels by increasing potassium

anticonvulsive effect.

crystalline powder, is an antiepileptic
