As early as ***0, the grandfather of bio pin founder, Barend Jan Palm, had his own painting and decorating business and also ran a factory in The netherlands manufacturing oil paint and putty. It is his knowledge which formed the basis for the first bio pin products. True to the Palm family tradition this know-how and expertise is currently being passed on to the fourth generation. Bio pin Bienenwachspraeparate Herstellungs-GmbH was founded in ***4 in the northern German Town of Wilhelmshaven . The initial range of biopin products comprised wood stains and wood refining agents made from vegetable oils and beeswachs. Bio pin expended as demand increased. In ***7 their first solvent-free, water based wood stains and impregnating agents made from natural raw materials werde developed. They were a great success and prompted the development of further products such as solvent-free floor protection systems, protective exterior paints and varnishes as well as top coats. In ***5 the new factory for natural paints was planned and erected to accommodate future demand. ***6 saw the systematic cultivation of linseed for generation of linseed oil in northern Germany . In ***7 biopin moved into its new plant in Jever( northern Germany ). The new binder melting plant enables the company to produce their own water-based resins/oil mixtures for natural paints of supreme quality. inf0#***** ***3 will be the year of international expansion of biopin. In Ireland , we have builded a production site for vegetable binding agents. And in the autumn we have opened a joint venture for natural paints for the asian market- Ningbo biopin Co., Ltd.
