• Extracted from freshwater fish cartilage
• Prepared from freshwater fish cartilage by a multiple stage purification procedure, including pepsin extraction. The resulting protein has molecular mass >**0 kDa with α, β, and γ bands typical for type II collagen on SDS-PAGE gel which include more than *6% of total protein in the product.
• Supplied as solution in 0.*5 M acetic acid at a concentration of approximately 4.0 mg/ml. The exact concentration for each specific lot is provided in the Certificate of Analysis supplied with the purchase of each product.
• The sterility of the final product is ensured by ultrafiltration.
• This product is suitable for preparation of smooth clear coatings for cell culture vessels. Improves cell attachment to the surface, enhances cell growth and differentiation. Combined with collagen type I, is suitable for preparation of gels for 3D cell culture and creation of scaffolds for tissue engineering purposes.
