Extremely hot plasma flame melts easily the ceramic powders which are known to be hardly melted. Thus, bonding to the substrate is strongly realized. During the application, workpiece temperature is limited to **0 ºC so deformation risk doesn't appear. In plasma spray applications, powder which have different kind and features are used. . Ceramics ( aluminum oxide, titanium oxide, chrome oxide, zirconium oxide ) . Carbides ( tungsten carbide, chrome carbide ) . Metals and metal alloys ( nickel, iron, aluminum, cobalt, copper, molybdenum, titanium base powders ) . Cermets ( blends of metals and metal oxide ceramics )
