System description:

Alta anticorrosion pipe wrap tapeis the cold applied tape for a one-component coating system which, when applied to pipe in a "half-lap" configuration, the unique product is easily applied to provides up to 121°C (250°F) continuous operating temperature protection. Its unique properties include a polymeric alloy capable of with standing high temperatures, and an adhesive which bonds tenaciously to primed steel, resists soil stress, and can be used at temperatures at which most adhesives soften.

As the pipe is heated, the medium inside the pipe heats the adhesive, causing additional vulcanization, allowing for the increased strength required for performance under high temperature use.

Structure

The specification of the tape consists of two layers,

Adhesive: First grade Butyl rubber

Film backing: Special blend of stabilized high strengthen Polyethylene
