Brightener SZ-30 for Sulfate Zinc Plating

PROPERTIES:

It has good throwing power and covering ability, which make the deposit uniform and glossy. It is suitable for continuous zinc plating of wire as well as single part, also suitable for sulfate zinc plating with any formulation.

TECHNICAL FORMULATION & OPERATING CONDITION:

Zinc Sulfate (ZnSO4⋅7H2O)	300-450g/L

Boric acid (H3BO3)	20-30g/L

SZ-30 brightener	14-18ml/L

ATTENTION:

Test the quality of Zinc sulfate through Hull tank test.

When preparing the bath, H3BO3 and zinc sulfate must be dissolved with hot water, cool and remove residues, finally add SZ-30.

There has interaction in wire diameter, speed, quantity of plated, current intensity, and concentration of the solution. So use the optimum vale according to actual condition.

Wire must be pretreated completely.

Before plating, add some corrosion inhibitor in the pickling bath to avoid decreasing anti-rusting ability for over-corrosion.
The consumption depends on the production capacity, add the additive few and often, generally, replenish 1500~2500ml of SZ-30 additive when producing 1MT of wire.
In order to get bright deposit, the bath must not contain aluminum sulfate etc.

Analyze bath concentration and keep it in the technical range. If no analysis, its Beaume degree should be controlled about 24°.
