Trough Coatings are designed to protect troughs and chutes from damage to due to long term exposure to the high temperature process of metal casting. J.S. McCormick Trough Coatings were developed for use in the production of cast iron pipe, in particular the manufacturing of seamless pipe. Trough Coatings are very easy to work with as they can be sprayed, brushed, or even poured.

General Characteristics Design: Developed as a coating for troughs in the manufacturing of seamless pipe.
Base: Carbon base
Bond: Bonds well at high and low temperature
Suspension: Low suspension characteristics Suggested Applications Casting: For Gray Iron or Ductile Iron castings.
Application Technique: Brushed, sprayed, or poured on Troughs. Advantages - Excellent protection against burn-in
